Hey sam, Glad I was able to touch base with you and get to know you more. I enjoyed the conversation we had and learning more about you. As stated when we talked I was just stopping to by to make sure your needs were taken care of and to follow up if any further clarification was needed because of the power outage question as well as the welcome center one you called me on Sunday about. You said in past jobs if a person in my role shows up it is indicative of a problem. I assured you that is not the case and this is typically what a manager does at state parks. I care about the folks I work with and want to see them be successful. Sorry to hear that you have been worried, my hope it that by talking with you it would help bring comfort and clarity and address any outlying questions. My goal as a park manager is to set folks up for success. Thanks for sharing your perspective, my hope it you are able to believe what I am sharing about mine. I would consider that your concerns and questions have been addressed on my end. I believe kati is planning to touch base with you in person as texting can be hard to communicate effectively. Sometimes it takes a bit for schedules to match up (vacations, sick days, travel days, working on different projects etc). We typically do not touch base with our volunteers daily. A reset sounds good to me. Glad to hear you have future assignments scheduled with OPRD. [Park Manager] | Park Manager
