Hi, [Volunteer Services Lead],

I had a very good day.

I helped a lot of people, and I’m going to miss the welcome center. It’s clear to me that this is where I belong, and moving forward, it’s the only volunteer role I’ll accept at any state park.

I have three requests:

1. That you leave me a strong review in OPRIS. I performed this job flawlessly.

2. That you help me find other state parks along the coast where I can fulfill this role.

3. That you consider me for a return next year.

There was a time I thought we could be friends, but I now understand that’s not the case. I accept this. What I do know is that I bring value—to this park, to this system, to the people I serve. I trust that you
will advocate for me in a professional capacity.
