And because I know this could set off a whole new round of unnecessary drama, I want to point out—this should have been avoided. I was proactive about this, even this morning, trying to ensure [Park staff] would be the one who trained me because I knew to expect this
behavior from [Park staff]. I told you about it. I tried to avoid any written communication about it.

I’m not here trying to create problems. I asked a SIMPLE question and instead had someone try to manage non-existent emotions about logistics while repeatedly reminding me that “rangers are here to help.”

This had nothing to do with rangers. It was a simple question. [Park staff] responds to me like this every single time I see him, and I tried to warn you.

I will not let you or anyone else make me the problem. I will protect myself. I see what’s happening. You all keep trying to manage me like I’m a problem when all I really am is a mirror to the actual problem—the way you try to manage me.

You and I need to sit down and have a serious talk. I was serious about wanting to come back. But this dynamic needs to change. You and I are both reasonable people—we can make sure that it does.
