Director Sumption, I am writing this letter to notify you of a thread I posted to Twitter: https://x.com/rswfire/status/2087302801873654006 It summarizes a new feature on the homepage of the OPRD Volunteer Abuse archive ( https://oprdvolunteerabuse.org ). Below is the text of each tweet, in case you would like to respond to any part of it. 1/x: I've added a new component to the OPRD Volunteer Abuse archive. It is an integrated slideshow on the homepage that tells the complete story of what the State of Oregon did to an unpaid volunteer, using their own words and documents. #accountability #publicrecords #orpol @GovTinaKotek @ORStateParks @ORStatePolice 2/x: The origin event. 3/x: The 62 minutes of coercive treatment directed at an unpaid volunteer by state employees. 4/x: The day they sent a man to question me while everyone was away. 5/x: The dismissal meant to displace me from the very ground I was standing on. 6/x: The call where a program manager uses her sensitivity training to further harm the person it was meant to protect. 7/x: And then the letter that bans him statewide, for his public comments. Not one word about behavior. No attempt to hide the retaliation. 8/x: The director responds to an open letter after ignoring my previous communications. 9/x: But shuts that down in her second response to me, and uses the same institutional tactic the program manager used. 10/x: Then she gets her deputy involved. 11/x: And police show up at my home, on restricted federal land. 12/x: I get proof of the event, and it's more damning than I ever could have imagined. 13/x: Which leads to the federal government having to contradict what the state put in writing! 14/x: Leading to further records the state has put behind a paywall, after first denying they even existed. 15/x: That's the full accounting of what the State of Oregon has done to me thus far, all because I documented mistreatment at a local state park. x: The archive is at http://oprdvolunteerabuse.org. Kind Regards, Robert Samuel White
