Special Agent Oliver,
On September 3, 2026, Oregon State Police produced its file on me under public records request PR27478. In it is your email of March 27, 2026, 11:04 AM, to [Lane County Deputy] of the Lane County Sheriff's Office, copied to Detectives Hyde and Nelson. You sent it hours after you terminated my call that morning, the call in which I asked the three officers who came to my home to identify themselves. You refused to give me the OSP officers' information. Your email gave a fourth agency all of mine: my name, my date of birth, my driver's license number, my residence, my schedule, my duties, my correspondence, and my text messages.
The email contains false statements about me. I am correcting each of them, in writing, to every person who received them.
You wrote that I was "fired due to his negative interactions with the public while performing his duties. Notably enforcing rules in an unprofessional manner." That is false. The Department's dismissal letter of March 26, 2025, which the police file you were working from itself contains, states the basis: "the disparaging public comments made about staff regarding your volunteer service." My public speech. Not my interactions with the public, and not the enforcement of any rule. Your email also states I volunteered "up until the summer of 2025." My service ended March 24, 2025. If you hold any record supporting your characterization, produce it. If you do not, correct it with [Lane County Deputy] the same way you circulated it to him.
You wrote that I "stated he felt intimidated." I did not describe a feeling. I stated that the visit was intimidation. The distinction matters, and I am restoring it.
You wrote that you told me "there is no restriction on Officers to that area." What happened on that call is that I informed you the Siltcoos Work Center is a restricted access area, a locked federal facility behind a locked gate, and you disputed it. Your own email now records that dispute in writing.
Your email attributes OSP's interest to "multiple veil threats" and states, in the same bullet, "No crimes committed." No statement of mine claimed to be a veiled threat has ever been identified, quoted, or produced by any agency. Detective Hyde, after reviewing my website, wrote that nothing stood out beyond a grievance with a former employer. Detective Nelson's report concludes I made no direct threats, showed no leakage toward violence, and committed no crimes. On September 3, 2026, I asked Oregon State Police in writing to produce the statement or state that none exists.
[Lane County Deputy]: you received the characterizations above; you now hold the corrections, and the documents behind them are published in full at oprdvolunteerabuse.org. Your office is now a custodian of records in this matter. Please preserve your copy of the March 27 email, its attachments, and this letter.
Special Agent Oliver: your email told [Lane County Deputy] you would "keep you up to date." Every update you have sent him or anyone else concerning me is a federal record, and I ask that it be preserved. If you dispute any statement in this letter, do so in writing. If you do not, the record will treat your account as corrected.
Your original email is attached to this letter.
