Sorry for all the emails - this is part of my integration process; it's how I navigate new experiences, by exploring what feels right. As my rhythm establishes, you'll rarely field items from me.

I would like to make a request.

I would really like to work in the welcome center in March. I understand this position is filled already. I am hoping you might consider reaching out to the volunteer to see if they'd take my role next month. Perhaps they would be open to it?

Yes, I would like to spend time in the park. Being cooped up isn't my nature, but those four hours provide me with a structure that is useful to me.

I can explain why this is important to me if you wish to know more about my thoughts, or you can reject the request, or you can try to accommodate it. I am comfortable with each of these paths.
