Hello everyone, I hope you are all doing well,

March is right around the corner, so here are the dates and times for the Orientations that we have planned for March 2025.  First off, we try to have our new arriving Hosts arrive at the State Park on the final day of the current month to get settled in and set up for the big day of Orientations that we hold on the 1st of the new month.  For this month, please try to arrive on the 28th of February to your designated campsite as we will be jumping into trainings in the morning of the 1st.  If you are unsure of what site you are headed to, please contact me .  We try to hold most of the orientations on the 1st of the new month so that everyone is all trained up and ready to start their shifts, as some of you will have a shift that starts on the 1st of March.

If anyone still needs to complete the required trainings on the Volunteer Voice Website, I have placed a link below.  The required trainings are the following: The Park Host Safety Training, The DAS Discrimination and Harassment Training, and the Volunteer Service Agreement. These trainings must be completed annually, so if you have not done them yet for 2025 then please do.

The Welcome Center Operations Orientation will be held on December 1st at 10am @ the Welcome Center.

The Yurt & Site Maintenance Orientation will be on December 1st at 11am @ the A loop Restroom/Pipe Chase.

The All-Host General Orientation will be at 1pm on March 3rd @ the Welcome Center.  For the All-Host General Orientation we ask that all of our current and new hosts attend so that we can all introduce ourselves to one another and also meet the Ranger Staff here at Honeyman State Park as well as talk about upcoming events or trainings that Park Staff will be attending.  If you have your own chair, please bring it as we tend to run out in the welcome center.  Once the meet and greet portion is over, only our new arrivals for March will need to attend the rest of the Orientation.  I will also be giving out gloves, hats, and vests if you are in need of those once the presentation is over.
