Have you obtained private counsel yet?

If yes, why haven't I heard from them?

Are they waiting to see if I'll actually file?

Because let me be clear - I'm going to.

I have over a year to start the process.

And I will file against you personally because the law allows me to hold you personally responsible for violating my constitutional rights.

And when I win the case against you - likely on summary judgment because none of the core facts of that violation are in dispute - I will use that judgment to hold your employer responsible too.

I am not going away.

What you did was wrong. Not just ethically, though it was definitely that. It was wrong because you had no basis for it. None.

You cannot point to any legitimate reason for excluding me from a statewide program.

You can't point to the meeting where [Park Manager] "set expectations" because I recorded it and you can hear him abuse me for over an hour. You can hear [Park Supervisor] try to rescue him from his own admissions, showing her complicity.

You can't point to the unidentified man who interrogated me without exposing the absolute hollowness of an institution that would do that to an unpaid worker.

Your actions were wrong and you will pay for them.

You denied me a future within OPRD, all because you let a low-level supervisor abuse her authority and you didn't have the courage to stop it or correct it when you understood what this was.

You created a system where I was isolated with no process for safely reporting the abuse I was experiencing. This continues to be the operating structure at Oregon State Parks.

Even now I hold out the smallest hope that you are capable of being better than what you've shown thus far.

Are you going to make me sue you to restore the rights you took from me? Because I will follow through, you surely know that by now. And it will cost you, personally.

I was harmed. By you. I expect you to be an adult and correct the mistake you made.

If you don't have a private lawyer yet, then you don't understand the exposure you're facing.
