To the Public Records Order team,

The attached letter concerns the order of July 29, 2026 in DOJ File No. 257001-GA0140-26.

The order decides my petition on two grounds that did not come from my petition. It states that Oregon State Police responded "citing the exemption for body camera video provided by ORS 192.345(40)." That exemption has never been cited to me, and it appears
nowhere in my petition or its exhibits. The order also finds that the Department acted in good faith, which I did not allege, did not contest, and did not ask to have decided.

I ask this office to identify the document the exemption statement rests on. I am not asking the office to revisit the order.

The Department reopened my request on July 27 and estimated three weeks, which falls on or about August 17, 2026. I will wait for that response. If it does not resolve the categories that remain outstanding, I will file a new petition, and if that petition
is denied I will institute proceedings in circuit court under ORS 192.411.

My July 29, 2026 letter to the Department requesting any recording of the March 24, 2026 contact is enclosed with the attached letter.
