I'm sending this to you as a courtesy.

You redirected me to FOIA and I pursued it. I choose not to file with the Forestry out of respect for our District Ranger and for the Forest Service we both serve.

My focus, as it has always been, is on accountability at the state level. They expelled me for protected speech and put it in writing. They did that because I documented abuse I experienced as a volunteer with them. What your officer opened at that gate was
retaliation delivered on the one year anniversary of that experience. Did you know that?

I don't know how to reconcile that anymore than you probably do. It happened. It's part of the record. And I'm doing my best to focus on the ones who truly harmed me. And I do understand your silence around my questions, but you are letting an impossible characterization
stand: that Oregon State Police were here because you wanted them here. How can that possibly be true? Who gave them my birthdate and the location where I live? What does "for the Forest Service" mean?

I cannot separate this from the accountability I am seeking from the State of Oregon -- who it was that deliberately used police to intimidate me, how they can justify a letter that cites only my protected speech as cause for anything -- because your officer
participated, and to protect him, you can't protect me, even though duty compels it.

I am willing to indemnify your entire institution for this act, in writing, if you acknowledge it honestly. I only care that the record is accurate, and the record shows you were used as much as anyone. They tried to drive a wedge into a relationship that was
not theirs to influence. Where do you stand in this?
