Can I get a box of medium black rubber gloves? The chain to the gate is rusty and I don't like touching it with my bare hands...

Also have question about edge cases. You do not need to worry about this being a common occurrence (these are edge cases), I simply want to know how much autonomy I have to responsibly manage my gate duties...

Can I open it early if I want to go somewhere for the day? Say I'm going to explore a state forest and I want to leave at 5 or 6am. Is it okay if I open the gate before I go?

Similar question about closing though I think this far less likely. Can I close it early or late on rare occasions?

I will accommodate your answers, please don't worry about the gate. I just want an edge cases protocol.
