I filed a Petition for Review of Denial of Public Records Request in this matter on July 22, 2026, and a first supplemental on July 24, 2026. I write to supplement the record a second time.

On July 27, 2026, five days after the petition was filed, Oregon State Police notified me that a thorough review has identified additional responsive records and that it is reopening PR27478, with production estimated at three weeks. I do not withdraw the petition.
The Department's notice resolves none of its counts — it describes no search, cites no exemption, rules on no fee waiver, and does not say whether the recorded dispatch communications for March 24, 2026 still exist.

The attached supplemental filing places the Department's own admission in the record; identifies the one assertion in it that cannot be correct as written (that records of a March 24 event were "not in our system" on April 3); and renews, with urgency, the
single time-sensitive request in this matter — whether the March 24 dispatch recordings still exist and whether any responsive record has been destroyed, purged, or allowed to age off a retention schedule since April 2, 2026. That question can be answered
in a sentence and does not depend on the three-week review now underway.

The filing is attached, together with the newly added exhibits: Exhibit 27 (the Department's reopening notice) and Exhibit 28 (my response of July 27, 2026). Exhibit 26 (the July 24, 2026 letter from the District Ranger) was filed with the first supplemental
and is included in the attached package for reference.
