District Ranger Holman, [District staff],

I want to share something with you that came into focus for me today — walking to the ocean on a sunny afternoon, processing everything that's happened this past week.

I've spent a year documenting what Oregon State Parks did to me. Today I finally named the mechanism underneath all of it. I'm calling it displacement. It is the institutional tactic of removing an inconvenient person from the ground they stand on — not through
legitimate process, but through escalating pressure designed to make staying feel impossible. I documented nine stages of it at Honeyman. It is now on the archive.

What I want you to know is this: you have not run that scheme on me. Not once in a year. What happened on March 24th was brought to this place from outside it. I know the difference. I have lived both sides of it now.

I built a life here. I love this corridor. I love this work. I love the dunes and the ocean and the trails I've walked hundreds of times. I love the people I've met here — including both of you. That is not nothing. After what came before, that is everything.

I don't want to be displaced again. I am asking you to help make sure I'm not.

I understand the situation is complicated by what Oliver did. I am not asking you to pretend it isn't. I am asking you to see me clearly — as the person who has shown up every day for a year, who has done this work with integrity, and who is still here asking
to stay.

If the Olympic Peninsula transfer comes through, I will go with gratitude and without bitterness. But if there is a way to keep me here — or somewhere close — I want you to know that I want that too.
