Did you know a knock and talk is lawful only when an officer comes to the door the same way any member of the public could?

No member of the public could have reached my door. It sits behind a locked federal gate, posted against public access. You did not walk up to it. Your officers recruited a federal agent to unlock the gate for you.

Do you believe that was lawful?  Were they acting as officers or members of the public? Should your men be subject to the notice posted at that gate?

You endangered my safety by sending those men here. I believe your agency should investigate this further. Who should I write to about this?
