District Ranger Holman, In addition to my private correspondence with you, there is something I must put on the record. On March 24th, three officers arrived at a locked federal gate on restricted federal land where I live and serve as a Forest Service volunteer. They came with a Forest Service Special Agent. That makes them the Forest Service's responsibility. I have every right to know who they were. I have been told to file a Freedom of Information Act request to learn the identities of officers who came to my door. That is irregular. That is not how this works. You do not send law enforcement to someone's home and then withhold who they are. You have confirmed they were Oregon State Police. I still do not have their names. I want those names. I will get them. Through public records requests. Through journalist correspondence. Through legal channels if necessary. I am not afraid. Safety and fear are not the same thing. I am documenting an irregularity that has not been resolved and will not be allowed to disappear. I have been a model volunteer. I love this work. I did not bring this to the Forest Service's door. It was brought to mine. I am asking this institution to be straight with me about who was at that gate. Robert Samuel White
